My allotment has been my garden 
for the last 15 years.


Mother Nature has almost overwhelmed me 
a number of times,

   

but now I feel that she and I have reached a point 
where we understand each other quite well.

 

In the limited time we spend together 
our combined efforts seem 
to produce happy results,

  

which is a good thing.

  
      
I cannot claim that it is all plain sailing


  and I have learned through
trial and error,

GO TO SLEEP

GO TO SLEEP When my daughter was about 7 or 8, rather than a bed-time story she would often ask me to play some ukulele for her. As much as the music helped her get to sleep she also liked to prolong the 'going to bed' bit and keep me sitting with her for as long as possible! I was an exhausted parent and would frequently fall asleep whilst playing and she would wake me up with a nudge saying 'Dad keep playing'!  How well I remember those precious moments and I'm glad that I recorded some of what I played so I can share it here.
